Kagome-Kagome and more.

Let's get the ball rolling, the first commentary...ever, on this blog. Heh, I can't wait.

Touhou Vocal 531. ( ハピネスフルムーン)

Circle: Sun Flower Field

To be frank, Sun Flower Field's first album didn't really leave a smile on my face. That's just me, I guess. The other songs in Flower Garden seemed just fine except for this one. It's less impressive than the Invisible Full Moon vocal in their second album. Arrange is somewhat fine but I'm worried about the vocalist's (mineko) voice sounded somewhat... monotonous throughout the entire song though there are parts in the song like beyond 2:45 that picked up all the power in the entire song. There should've been more space for revisions, improvements or what, I say. mineko should've done a performance like that of C.E.L. (2nd album) wherein the arrangement of the song synchronized that of her performance. There's low and high notes; they should've played it like that. Not bias or anything, Kagome-Kagome's my favorite Stage 5 theme in all of Touhou, it needs something more.

This song really does need more power.

Speaking of SFF, I think they're going to resell their 2nd album, Ortensia @ C77. Check that out.

Touhou Vocal 532. (空に焦がれた少女の唄)

Circle: Sun Flower Field

First, I'd like to apologize if the picture I used for the video is somewhat irrelevant to the song. It's really hard to find a SOLO Meiling pic; most of the hell of it are paired with meido Sakuya-san and the rest of EoSD. Now, I think I speak for everyone that this song is better than the previous one. Chinese Tea is one heck of a song, if this is not the best Stage 3 song ever, this is one of the best, lining up with Romantic Children, Old World and Gensokyo the Gods Loved. I might say I didn't like the previous song, but this song mirrors all the blame back, it sounds really pleasing--instrumental-wise, vocal-wise. Pretty catchy beat is pretty catchy, that really sums up this song; mineko also does compensate for the previous one, well-appreciated.

Touhou Vocal 533. (ふたり遊び)

Circle: Iemitsu.

Iemitsu. Now we're talking.

I've only heard of a handful of arranges of these song, let alone the vocals. I've seen C-CLAYS' version (I'll put that one up, don't worry), I don't quite remember how that went. Well, the song is indeed intended to be chaotic, though ZUN might not speak of it, as this is the Last Word theme; Last Words are pure chaos, the last resorts of a few selected main and sub-main characters. Kikuo's arranges sound really nice, score more for the whole Iemitsu. crew. Shizuku-san delivered quite a nice performance here. For me, the Re- series is one of the most notable works of this circle aside from the humongous compilation album, "We Love the Toho Rmxes!".

Quite lovely and catchy, in a way.

Touhou Vocal 534. (上海絞首館)

Circle: ALICE:made

Another Chinese Tea vocal, I see. This song should have been posted a long time ago, but the lack of information regarding the circle really put this song way down here. I say this song ain't so bad at all, I think the guitars is loud that it somehow overwhelms the drums and the vocals, that's all. Other than that, it's certainly nice; this is their first album by the way, will look forward for more of their arrangements in the coming conventions.

Touhou Vocal 535. (あいまいダーク)

Circle: Siestail

The second Heian Alien vocal I've seen since the UFO hype's height last October...and yes, December will also be filled with a gigaton worth of great UFO arrangements, not to mention Hisoutensoku arrangements from the famous circles namely Demetori, SYNC.ART'S, dBu music and a whole lot more. Until such time, Kagura by Liz Triangle will be my personal favorite vocal of this song, this one just doesn't feel like a headswinging song, one that you could probably sing along with. They should just have Ciel sing this like what she did to the Sky Ruin x Old Man & Stylish Girl vocal. The arrangement's fine, typical Spelunker work.
